Affordable Living Montezuma, Costa Rica

There is a cool little IB school near Montezuma - I'm not asking about the school, I'm asking about cost of living in and around Montezuma. Has anyone lived near there?

I must have passed through there several times as I developed a medical condition called "Montezumas Revenge", several times. Wouldnt recommend it (the condition not the place).
