Hi!
If you have info on this school, I'd love you to share it! There's an ad on Search, but no review on ISR and I don't know anybody who's been around Vancouver!
Thanks,
Wherenext

pheww! I've read mixed reviews here and there... thanks for a comforting message... I just signed with this school, hadn"t done much research beforehand... and I was a bit worried I made the wrong decision!
I'll come back after semester 1 to say what i think of the school!
Cheers!

Ecole Mondiale Mumbai and International School Amsterdam
Hello,
If you taught in those schools or have some info about them, I'd love to hear from you. While I'm here, same request for Bavarian International School!
Good luck to all!

I too went to Search Bangkok in 07.
It was not big then, and in a downtown hotel full of tourists in shorts and tank tops. I thought the mix was not to our advantage as the whole thing didn't have a very professional flair, while ISS looked very "we mean business".
Since then, Search Bangkok has moved to the Sheraton, and there are a lot more schools on the list.
I heard say, it's the one to go!
Now, of course there's a lot of money involved, but I'd go to Bangkok and London, as a back up, rather than to both Bangkok fairs. London will have new jobs listed while the two Bangkok fairs will offer quite similar lists of jobs.

Thanks for the long explanation and one last comment about this:
For one, I am not teaching English and am not expected to address my students in that language. For two, not all international schools have Engligh as language of instruction. For three and more importantlty: this is a forum where teachers address teachers, looking for info on (or is it about?) schools, not on correct English. If so, I would have chosen another subject for my message.
So, does any one has some anything to say about living in Zimbabwe? (because really, that's what matters right now!)

The job descriptions sound good! But (there's always a but...) a colleague who's been teaching in Africa recently said that people have to go to Zambia for basic grossery shopping!
Anyone has an update on living conditions there? (It's not that grossery shopping is THAT important, but it tells about the economic condition of the country!)

Please, Please someone... There are not many jobs in my field, one of the very few is at the International School of Serbia... and of course, there is no review about it on the ISR!
If you don't know the school but know the country, do you think someone who has been living in Asia for 10 years would adapt well in Serbia?
Thanks!

Ola!
There's an ad for jobs in that school in Venezuela. There a very flatering review in the ISR base. But only one!
Do you know anything about that school? the person doesn't say anything about security. How is it? Can people come and go freely? (Latin America doesn't have the best reputation in that field!)
I'm very used to Asia, where I feel really safe, but if the review writter is not biaised, and the school is that good, it's very tempting!
Hope I'll hear from one of you soon!

hello!
I just saw some ads for the international school in Tashkent. It sounds nice! Package looks good, can't tell about the school, the only info I got are from the school website!
Have you or someone you know lived there? How is it like? Do people save a lot of money because there's nothing to do and spend your money on, or because the cost of living is really low? Is is really cold? (how long is the winter season? I currently live in Asia, it's summer all year round!)
What do people do after school? It's a muslim country, right? but are there some westerners kind of fun places to go? how's the art scene?
I hope someone can help!
Take care,
Wherenext!
