Schools in Puerto Vallarta

I just received an e-mail from Colegio Americano de Puerto Vallarta. They saw my active file with SA.There are no reviews of this school yet with ISR. Has anyone taught there or know someone who has?

More Information

In the reviews that I read, some of the candidates were offered a position at one school and when they got to China they were assigned to another one. Sometimes the working conditions were pretty poor. Some of the reviews of Dupont basically said the recruiters will promise you anything to get you there. It seems to depend on the campus where you are working. I really would like to know if the campuses at Nanjing are decent and if there is going to be a "bait and switch." I'm new at this so it's a big step. What I can do is go ahead and set-up an interview and find out the name of the campus, then go from there.

Dipont, Nanjing China

I received an e-mail from a recruiter at Dupont. They have an opening for an experienced librarian at one of their Nanjing campuses. I have read the reviews and want to know if this is a viable possibility. They looked at my file at SA and they want to schedule an interview. I would appreciate any help in trying to decide if I should even consider the job.

Hi Matt

I have taught for 24 years with the last 9 as a Library Media Teacher. I am looking for a library media position hopefully at the middle school or high school level. My experience has been at the elementary level but I want to work with older students. I have never taught overseas but have traveled in Eastern and Western Europe, Mexico and South America. I am single.

Need information on several schools

I will be going to the San Francisco Fair in February. I am trying to find information about QSI in Solvenia, Uskudar American Academy in Turkey, The English Modern School, Doha, and the Al-Bayan Int'l Scholl in Kuwait. This is my first fair and I have been looking at the school reviews to narrow down the list.

I am excited about the prospect of teaching abroad but I need some help.javascript:emoticon(':!:')

Thanks[/i]

I would still be teaching at my school but our superintendent decided to eliminate all the elementary and middle school library media positions. I'm too young to retire and I still want to teach. I love to travel and learn about different cultures so teaching abroad seemed a great idea. I am also looking into teaching for the DoDEA.

Can I find a job???

I am just getting started in the process of looking for a teaching job overseas. I have a Masters and 24 years experience in teaching, mostly at the elementary level. I have endorsements in Library Media and Music, and have taught PE for 2 years. I am really looking for a Library Media position, which I have taught for the past 9 years. I am 55 years old. What are my chances getting a teaching job? Are there many library media positions available?
