I am a primary school teacher. Mainly grades 4-5. However I have also done the odd year as a PE teacher in Primary School.
I have just completed 3 years as a grade 4 teacher. Now I have been offered a great job in a place I'd like to work as PE teacher again.
A principal has told me (and I have heard it before) that if I keep switching around I will be less likely to be hired in future.
The truth is I like both PE and the classroom. What are your thoughts on me switching subjects. Will it hurt me long term?
Thanks in advance.

Kiev Ukraine
Hello,
Just love some information about working and living in Kiev, Ukraine if anyone has lived and worked there. I am a single male.
I am not concerned about the political situation. Just wondering about lifestyle. Sports, gym, going out, expat life, chances to travel and save.
I have a possible job here next year and its not a widely talked about country.
Cheers.

Valencia Venezuela
I may have an offer in Valencia Venezuela.
I would love to hear from people who are living there, or who have lived their.
Its the usual dilema. Great school, great pay, BUT.... you are in Venezuela.
Any recent feedback would help, im in a bind.
Im single male, and can handle most things, but maybe the money is not worth it?
Thanks in advance.

5-10 minute demo lesson- Help!
I have been asked to do a 5-10 minute demo lesson on video as part of an interview process. I don't need to show the kids. They just want to see me teach.
I am a little lost. I have never done this before. Any ideas to make me stand out. I am a fourth grade elementary teacher.
So I suppose they want to see lesson objecives, a variety of visual aids and questions. But all in 5 to 10 minutes. I guess I am wondering what are the main things they will look for. Its funny, I suppose I should know the answer to this. ha ha.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Re: IB Teaching: Day to Day, Unit to Unit
Great question!
I would also love an answer to this. It seems curriculums all vary and some are painful, others effective.
I get the impression the British system is just endless paperwork that takes up all the teachers time.
I hear the PYP program is great. But what makes it so wonderful. Wonderful for the teacher, the student or both?
