Singles with dependents

I am a single with one school-aged dependent. I am looking for very diverse schools with a good package, ideally in Africa or Europe but open to Asia as well. Can anyone name any schools that embrace singles with dependents? Thanks

Schools/countries to look to or avoid if you're a minority

I am starting a search as an African American female. I was advised at one point to not look at Japan. Would you feel that is still the case? I am open to Japan and pretty much anywhere in the world. I just want to be in a top school that is truly international as I am bringing my children and plan to stay put for at least four years. Ideally my children won't be the only black children in the building. Can anyone shed some light on places they feel are less or more welcoming? Thank you!

i agree about the USA which is why i am highly considering returning home for a few years to try to get married before i am officially "old". LOL

sadly, yes, far friendlier for men.. sigh.

Best Cities for Older Women Interested in Dating

Just wondering if anyone wants to chime in on the best or worst cities to live in if you are a woman who wants to date. Please only comment if it's good for women over 35!!

I am certified Preschool-grade 8 and ESL (though I have never taught ESL). I am registered with both Search and ISS. Search BKK, Cambridge and London are all full and I opted out of ISS BKK based on my admin's advice. I am considering ISS SF and Search April/London but ideally I would hope to get a position via Skype. Not sure if that's going to happen and I need to buy a (very expensive from Asia) ticket to SF if i plan to attend.

I do wonder if waiting makes more sense. Surely something will come up? I was once offered a position over the phone to American School of London (but that was before i had a dependent).

Not sure if admin thinks i'm terrible or not but he offered to do my letter of rec for Search (which of course is anonymous though)..

Single with one dependent

i am in the midst of trying to find a new job. i have a masters, 20yrs of experience, including some international school experience (though no IB).

i haven't attended a fair yet because i was advised that being a less attractive candidate i should wait. i am not sure if that was good advice or not (it came from admin).

any thoughts on what i should try to do? i may attend ISS san fran or Search london in the spring but i am starting to worry that i should have gone earlier.

any thoughts? advice?
