I was wondering if people typically bring their car seats on the flight over with them? I would imagine so but don't know if other coutries use car seats? Depending on where you go, you could use public transport, but there are going to be sometimes you HAVE to take a vehicle.

You protect the things you value, I think taking a carseat is an excellant idea unless you hear otherwise from parents in the community you are moving to.

I have friends here in China who don't travel locally with their kids because local transport is so crazy and they don't have carseats.
