Does anyone have any knowledge of the Riverside school in Prague? Reputation, package and lifestyle in Prague in general? I know the school is Christian and am wondering to what extent... It apparently admits non-religious students as well. I've visited Prague briefly before so have a general idea of the city. Thank you in advance to any replies- the info on this forum is invaluable!

They arent overly christian, I wouldnt classify them as fanatics, but faculty wise most of them are "people of faith". If your a hedonistic atheist you might not feel very welcome. They are a upper tier 2 school (maybe bottom tier 1) The school is really new, they have been an IB Dip. school for 4 years and JUST finished their new high school. Theyre a British school mostly and they certainly have that kind of feel.
The students are great and are pretty motivated. They arent really international though most of the student body is composed of nationals. I only met one teacher from their and he spoke good things about the school, most faculty stay a long time, but they dont pay as well as ISP (which in comparison pays between $39K/$46K for a BA/MA).

Prague is an AMAZING city one of the only ones in eastern europe id live in. Actually id live there over some western european cities (mainly in Germany). Costs of living is about half of New York City with an average 1 bedroom at 550€ and a 3 bedroom at 970€, which is a on the low side for europe in general. Taxes are the big savings factor, as the tax rate is only 15% which is a third what youd find in other parts of europe. While you can live there inexpensively if you wish you can also spend a lot of moneyvery easily and very quickly.

Its a great cosmopolitan and metropolitan city as youd find in any capitol city in europe. If your a single guy its one of the best places in europe to have fun. Its kind of like the Tiajuna of eastern europe. My only complaints are the people can be stand-offish and difficult to get to know, and the public transportation can be unreliable (mainly after morning everything seems to run late, and doesnt catch up).
