Yes, on paper Malaysia may seem like a place where schools offer lower salaries - especially in the last few years - but their EPF pension plan can get you a lot of cash on the back end when you leave. And Malaysia is beautiful, modern, and, with Air Asia, cheap to fly out of for vacation.

First, I would agree with @Senator, but you have to make it to retirement in Malaysia to get the pension to pay off. Its not a strict savings strategy if thats your goal.
Switzerland is always that asterisk in the EU, that outlier thats different in the WE. You can make 6 figures. in Switzerland, and its not uncommon. The average salary in Switzerland is nearly double the IE average at 60K, and thats just the average.
