International Debate Competition for Schools

Hello.

We, the main sponsor of the Edinburgh-based charity Mock Court, are organising an international debate competition for school pupils. Senior pupils from all around the world can participate and compete against each other. The kids will be lectured by professionals on 5 different controversial topics and be required to use their critical thinking to express their opinions, bringing light to contemporary problems of the world.

Any teacher is welcome to invite their pupils to take part in the competition to represent their school or country. Bright young minds are needed to solve real-world controversial problems.

Will these topics be woke focused, such as the inclusion/exclusion of CRT (Critical Race Theory) in classrooms or will they be more apolitical such as the release of coolant water from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant?
I can see the latter receiving better reception and participation by ITs than the former.

Don't mind PsyGuy. He likes to stir the pot for no reason. Anyone who has read anything knows that CRT is not taught in high school courses. Also, discussion of controversial issues should not be avoided.

More easily ignored TPF. CRT is certainly taught in SHS and controversial topics have are and can be detrimental to ITs.
