"SCIS is a tier-one international school in Shanghai, with a highly competitive salary and benefits package, along with a robust professional development program."
This is the first time I've seen a school calling themselves "Tier 1".

By the way, I am familiar with this school and I don't agree.

What do you think about schools calling out their "Tier"?

Sounds bogus to me, especially since there is no agreed upon scale. I would be wary of such a school.

Familiar or employed?
Aren't tiers made up anyway and a marketing tool?

My pay is higher than the advertised and my PD fund is great as is on campus PD. Great housing and other bennies. Hours are no diff from other spots. Parents and staff are happy, buildings are purpose built curriculum is good, if not great. Always depends on the quality of the teacher anyway.

What's the issue?
