Search,ISS versus TIE and saving money

I couldn't agree more with the previous post. I too adopted a child while teaching overseas and as a result have severly limited my chances for further overseas employment. Despite an M.A. in Education, excellent references, PYP-IB experience and more than 15 years successful teaching both abroad and in the U.S., many schools see my son and me as an expensive proposition. Although I have had recruiters delight in the thought of a single, dad coming on staff, the bottom line is always how much money will this cost the school and available housing.

I'm going to go on the international circuit and try one last time to find employment overseas. And this time, as suggested above, I'm going to emphasize my experiences with extracurricular activities. I have had a number of people tell me to do this before, and it makes perfect sense.

Don't give up and good luck!
