Arab owned private schools

Post by professionalteacher »

Are there any Arab owned schools which are reputable and professional?
It seems to be that most Arab owned schools are poorly run and out for the profit. It seems to me that teachers are treated very badly and education is not respected.

Has anyone had positive experiences with an Arab owned school?

I've worked in international schools for a few years now and met many teachers who worked in for profit schools in the Middle East. I am yet to hear anyone who had a positive experience. If u wish to work in the Middle East, it is probably safer to choose schools that have a clear majority of students from the expatriate community. For eg, I have friends at the American School of Doha who are happy there.

PS: as a rule, for profit schools anywhere are a pretty risky proposition (IMHO)
