QSI-like organizations

Post by lindaloo »

I have a friend who taught with QSI and she has been telling me about their schools. I've been researching their schools and they have a well organized website that makes it easy to check out all of their schools. They also appear to have a fairly stream-lined application process - one application for any of their schools. I've been looking for similar international school setups, but haven't had much luck. I see plenty of international schools out there - but is there anything else like QSI where there are several schools under one umbrella organization?

Thanks. I appreciate any help you can offer.

They are called "Chain ISs", just off the top of my head:

EFS
GEMS
Dipont
UWC
IES

While they are all chains, I don't think the chains mentioned have the stream-lined application process of QSI. UWC doesn't. Nord Anglia doesn't (or it didn't, not looked at them recently). GEMS don't. If it's a 'one application, many opportunities' thing you're looking for, an agency would be a better bet.

How do these different groups rank in reputation? I've heard some of these organizations have a pretty low reputation and all their schools are tier 3.
