British pay taxes on their world wide income, all your really saying is that you can choose not to pay them and ignore the loan. Thats true, but that decision doesnt change the actual maths. Taxes in the WE and Eu are even higher in places outside the UK, Denmark is just as much abroad from the UK as HK is.

In many ISs you wouldnt be able to walk into step 6, most ISs have salary caps, and some ISs give you a step for every 2 years of experience.

The hagwon example is well parsed youd have to put in 6 years in that ES, you couldnt walk into that salary.

Comparing EE to DE are not the same fields, its comparing pineapples to apples, to that matter your comparing EE to IE as well, and more accurately as I addressed before your comparing OSH compared to LH packages (and to another extent within packages EU vs ASEAN).

I understand your position, you can take back your choices moving overseas, but you can do that outside of IE or education all together.

The major contributors rarely are in consensus, but 2 years post credentialing experience in DE prior to IE is one of them.
