Job offer in western areas of Cairo

I have an offer to teach in Cairo, in the 6th of October City/Sheikh Zayed City areas. Does anyone have any insight into safety, housing, and day to day living/logistics in those sections of Cairo? I am a single female and the school offers transportation back and forth to campus each day. Thanks!

I interviewed with and was offered a job that had housing in that area but turned it down. Having been to Egypt since then, I can tell you it's a pretty desolate and isolated area. Even if the school housed you in the city proper, a good chunk of your day would be taken up with the commute.
