Has anyone completed or currently enrolled in this program? Thoughts?

Its been around for a number of years, Its basically slave labor, and the work expectations are brutal. Malasian work mentality is very high you put in a full day, then ASP and then on Saturday you do your course seminar, plus holiday time, all for three years and basically you work, live, and breath the program, because any time you have outside of lesson planning and marking you will be doing the required readings and writing. The MA program is the IBO award program so its not something really extra that you have to do. Its an M.A. its not an M.Ed
You live in a dorm at the school, its small and clean, its a bed, desk, chair, armoire. You get REALLY close and comfortable with everyone you work with because its a fish bowl, your around them all day, all night you live with them.
The money is peasant wages for three years, your really overpaying for an MA.

The STC Consortium finds teachers for Fairview International School. There are several posts about this on the forum... and on the paid site ....read on.

Personally, I would suggest it is not good value, although Malaysia offers little aside from shopping & eating, so raking up a bit of study could be worthwhile.

The teacher accommodation is better than PsyGuy suggests, but yes there is a curfew (10 pm weeknights), and there will be a problem if you want an overnight guest, even a parent.
