Not my experience at all. I have used Astrill in China for three years and I find that the service is very reliable and their customer service is prompt and helpful.

We have different experiences. Why risk it though, Nord is cheaper ($99 for three years) and nobody really complains about Nord.

There are a lot of good options out there. Of course it depends on your building, the provider you use, the speed ect. For me I used Express vpn. It works well most of the time but not always. It's China after all sometimes the internet is unpredictable.

My point as well, I wouldnt use Astril unless I had to and they were the only option, because all the other options available are better.

@applebutter

I agree, every VPN experiences issues with the GFW and PRC.
