American School In Dubai

Wondering about the housing situation here and transportation. What type of housing is provided and is it close to the school? Does the school provide transportation? If not, is a car needed. Thanks!

Also looking for information about AS Dubai. The SA salary for MA+8 seems low. ASDubai website a little better, but still pretty low. Is cost of living low?

The package at ASD is lower then at ACS Abu Dhabi but they do offer a COLA. Housing is unfurnished and not in the most desirable location for singles. It is also small for families. They have a generous moving in allowance. The cost of living in Dubai is high. Food is expensive. Going out is expensive. Gas is cheap.

Dubai American Academy
American School of Dubai

DAA is for profit and has a pretty high turn over. It should be a distant second choice for American options in Dubai.

I used to work at DAA. I agree, ASD is much better, but DAA was okay.
