Too late to start looking?

I had decided to return to my current school in Latin America, but now I'm having second thoughts. I realize I should have started the recruiting process months ago. Is it too late to get on board with one of the fairs. Should I just try Tie Online or stick it out at my current school one more year. If I leave I really have my goal set on somewhere on Asia.

If you are employable at a job fair, you can get in. There are no guarantees, but a great resume, and sparkling credentials mean you will get a job and somebody will get a comission. People always drop out! Spots open. Contact your rep, even if you havent paid yet, they respond.
Good luck.

I'm with Briz. Even though friends have told me BKK and Boston are full, if you don't ask, you'll never know.
So get out there, but also look at TIEonline, which will host a bunch of potential job offers, sign up for Search for access to their database, and get those CV's out.
Anybody know if UNI is full yet? That's another fair that a lot of jobs get offered at.

Not too late, particularly if you teach in a high need area: math, science, sped. These areas can even get into the "full" fairs.

My area is elementary. I'm male, so sometimes that helps....but not really a high needs area.

As a single elementary, it will be harder to get into a large school in Asia, but certainly not impossible. If you cannot get into the Search Cambridge fair, you should consider ISS Boston or one of the San Francisco fairs. Many Asian schools will be holding back from hiring all their elementary vacancies until later in the season until they hire all their specialist positions. So there is a good chance they will have elementary vacancies during these fairs.
Most schools will be finalizing their openings in the next few weeks, so do worry if you do not see openings at your preferred schools yet.
