off the boil

I feel that Forrest Broman's comments in the TIE newsletter exposes, once again, how unprotected we international teachers are, and how closely Heads band together and deflect blame onto 'malcontent teachers'. His point was that all comments about colleagues (heads of schools included) should be signed, and doing it anonymously is a sign of a lack of professionalism. If you don't sign, you have no credibility. However, he also stated that its OK for heads to continue to talk about teachers to other heads in private. He still doesn't see that we need protection from unscrupulous heads. Where is the accountability for <them>? I, for one, would <<never>> sign a post as long as I knew that no one would protect me from retribution by an abusive head.
