Hi all, thanks for the informative posts! This is my first question (and my first foray into international teaching).
I have been scheduled for a second interview at an international school that I really like. If it makes a difference to my questions, their benefits do not include housing, but they do include travel. So far, no one has asked me about my husband, who is not a teacher but does school computer support. Obviously, in an ideal situation, he could do the same for an international school, should a position come available. (Does this make me/us more hire-able, as teaching couples are?)
If the school has not yet asked, does that imply that they don't care about any dependents either way? Should I mention him? The initial application asked about marital status, so I think someone in HR knows he exists...
Thank you for your insight.
When to mention non-teaching spouse?
