Thanks for all the information. Have not been posting as I have been updating the application and sending for transcripts and so on.

I love ISR. I have been a lurker for years and finally signed up for the forum. I find the information useful, although some reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt. For teachers who think only whiners post, I can assure you that teachers don't post the very worst that has happened to them as it would be apparent to their colleagues (and, yes, seem unbelievable).

Meanwhile, for me, ISR supplies any/every need for drama and gossip, and I don't join in those conversation in the staff room! Thanks, ISR!

We're going to go for it and reactivate our applications.
Japan, Korea, Germany, Mongolia (lol)... all would be acceptable to me.

If we put in applications in the coming week (and look up interview sites and so forth) do you think there is a likely chance of SY 2012-13 or more likely 2013-14?

We are certified in high needs areas....

We are a teaching couple - 62 years of age -15 years overseas - now back in the States - retiring next year out of this district, but not ready to retire...

Multiple degreed and certified. DoDEA has offered us positions before, but we were under contract overseas (because of DoDEA late offers).

Any chance at our age?

We were offered positions with DoDDs twice. Both offers were made in July when we were already under contract, so we did not accept.
