Sign in day I dressed in slacks, dress shoes, dress shirt and tie.
Other days it was suit, tie, dress shoes.
Most people I saw were similar, although a few were dressed down a bit, but not out of place. Even the PE people were in suits (well, most of them!).
As for doing your printing - get it done beforehand. You have known about the fair for how long now? (not trying to scold, but what happens if you miss out on an early opportunity because you are out trying to get stuff printed - in a strange town that you know not much about? Along with everybody else who has your idea?
Just my two cents, take it for what it is worth (actually less than two cents, in that case! :-)

SAS, it is as Sid said. If you have the proof you have done it, but not the certification, and you seem a good fit, some schools might take a flyer on you - others won't. If you don't have the experience, it is harder.
However, if you have a plan, as Sid said, then you can pitch that to them, and mention that you are seeking a school where you can start at X level, but that your goal is to become certified and move up to Y level within Z years.
This can also make a difference.
If you don't try, you will never know! However, don't stop targeting schools with positions in your main area!

Out of them all, Shanghai American is the best.
Stavanger (never lived there, don't know anybody who has taught there, but I know it's in Norway, sooo....) will be a lot of taxes for you, unless the US has a special tax treaty with the Norwegians...
Shanghai - low taxes, good pay, decent city, great central location to go places inside and outside of China, nice climate in general.
And it is easier to get a librarian or drama position than SPED because very few international schools have SPED programs...
just my two cents...

Saudi you can bring your dog, but you will want him classified as a guard dog. Islam in Saudi isn't big on dogs, so guard dogs get the job done for those bringing them in.
If you end up in Saudi, there is a Yahoo Group called expatsinSaudi run by a British lady named Trae
very informative site and people willing to answer all your questions. If you join, you would have access to information in their files on bringing your dog to Saudi with you.
About other countries, I have no idea.

Never heard of it - doesn't mean much. If you aren't ISG (International Schools Group which runs a set of British and American schools for expats in the Eastern Province and Yanbu), AIS-R (American International School of Riyadh), BISR (British International School Riyadh), Jeddah Prep, British Grammar School of Jeddah (Conti), or American International School of Jeddah, KAUST (King Abdullah University for Science and Technology school for kids of professors) or ARAMCO, all of which are considered "first tier" schools in Saudi, then you are not really serving a Western expat population.
Once you go outside this zone, student body demographics change, you are teaching on a segregated campus, there are more regulations/restrictions etc...
Just my two halalas (Saudi cents)!
