Re: My Cambridge Fair Diary
Hmm interesting concept. I have only gone to one fair but have landed 2 jobs without them. What I did like about the fair was the availability to meet with a number of schools face to face all in one location. How would you propose we are able to do this without a fair? Just curious...

Re: ISR Compared to other school review sites.
Hi Tiff,
I so appreciate the paid portion of the site. My first school there was negative reviews about it and took it with a grain of salt. Only to realize it ALL was TRUE!!! Some things didn't phase me while others were just horrible. So now when I research schools I go to the paid portion of the site, then blogs then I will ask here. More so than not the paid portion has some of the good bad and the ugly! We need to know how life will be in our new schools and countries and I am so very happy that there is a site such as this one that is willing to let it all hang out, so to speak...

Re: Please help me from getting discouraged!
Hello Cyndioeo,
I would like to tell you firstly I don't have quite as many years of experience as you but have also been in this position. My first fair I had just barely 2 years experience and had about 4 or so interviews. ISS last fair in Philly. I thought I had a good rapport also and was told I was essentially in second place for one spot in Qatar (dream destination at the time) but didn't get it. I was a bit sad but happy I came away from the fair with good connections. 2 months later I received an offer from a school outside of the fair. It is still recruiting season and there is still a chance you will be hired. Please don't get discourage although it may seem discouraging.
Keep applying and keep plugging away. There are still several fairs and opportunities that will come up that will be the right fit for you...

Ruamrudee International School, Bangkok, Any updated info?
Hello All,
Wanted some new information about this school. On paid portion of the site reviews were a bit mixed but slightly on the negative side. I have interviewed with Sue in the past and found her to be a lovely lady. How is the school and what's going on over there now? How is environment for workers on staff (paid portion of site not so good). How is living accommodations? What are the working hours? Is there a good work life balance? Will expat kids fit in well? How is transportation to school?

Thanks Briz. I presume you are speaking about Simon who I have heard good things about. Well I have also heard they are trying to clean things up. Thanks for your input.

Any Info on International School of Ho Chi Minh?
I went to the paid section of the site and the reviews were a bit scary.. Does anyone have any current information or first hand information of this school. It appears they have done a recent shake up.. I know someone going and they are pretty optimistic.
How is housing?
I also hear they are expanding more.
What are school/work hours?
Savings potential?
Thanks.

Re: Sao Paulo life and schools
Not that I have anything pending there, but what is the work/life balance?
What are the work hours?
Are EE's happy? (employees)
How is life outside of work?
How are the kids?
How is the education?
How is the pay?
How is the turnover?

Re: KAUST details!
Hello All,
Any information on how it is for expat kids? Will they have many playmates? Are there many American kids that attend KAUST? How long do people typically stay? How is the shopping for foods can we get some staple items from home? Does shipping cover all items that we ship? Do women have drivers for leaving the compound? How is the education?
