jobs-YK Pao, Stavanger, Ho Chi Minh, SAS

Hi,

I am toying with the idea of working internationally next year. I know, I know, I'm late in the game! I'm only going to take a job if it seems great as I currently have a great position in the US.

Can anyone tell me there thoughts on the special education positions below:

International school of Stavanger, Norway
International School Ho Chi Minh City
YK Pao in Shanghai
Shanghai American School in China

Shanghai American School also has a librarian and drama postion which I could apply for.

I have 12 years of teaching experience and experience working as a school librarian and special education teacher. I also have a theater endorsement.

I'm assuming special education teachers are easier jobs to get but librarian and drama positions are difficult. Is this accurate?

Also, I've been able to read a lot about some of the schools on my list, but I've seen very little with International School of Stavanger and nothing on YK Pao schoolin Shanghai.

Any thoughts? Will I be able to save anything? Is the cost of living good? Will I need a car for these places?

Thanks!

Hi!

I applied and am eligible for the 2012/2013 school year. I've been reading through this board and it seems as if it will be a really tight year for employment. Would anyone know if I have a good/poor chance of getting an interview with my qualifications? I'm especially interested in working as a librarian.

I've taught for 11 years and I'm qualified and certified in the following positions....

Special Education

Elementary, General Classroom

I wlll also be certified in English and Technology Education (K-12) when I graduate with my Masters degree in Literature.

Also, does anyone know of a newbie who has gotten an interview yet?

Thanks for your help!
