Egypt and Bahrain

So, the scoop is I got 2 offers one from Cairo and one from Riffa, Bahrain, the Bahrain seems better, at 35,000 US plus housing, etc...Cairo at 18,600 English pounds. Does anyone know about life in Bahrain and flats? Is that a good salary. What about the rep of the school, Shaikha Hessa School for girls, any comments would be helpful as I have to give an answer tomorrow!

Wow, I think I started quite a debate on if its livable or not as a salary. I will definitely take all this under consideration. Thanks for all the info, keep it coming!! How about nice flats, in the Maadi area or what?

Its per year...and it's bad? Oh..Thats too bad. It's tax free and of course the housing is not counted into that. The Headmaster said it seems low but one can save a lot????

Good schools

Thanks for the reply, I guess I just have to be careful and do my homework as to where I go and what school I choose. It's hard to leave the comforts of a permanent teaching job with medical and pension back in Canada.

Good schools

Hi there! I'm new to this website and new to looking for a good job overseas. I'm an experienced teacher who wants to keep moving and maybe go to Turkey, UAE or Thailand. I've been reading reviews of schools and I know that no place is perfect. I want to know I guess are there any good schools that do pay well and living conditions are good? Im not 20 anymore and I would like a good quality of life, am I kidding myself to think its; out there? Please any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!
Monique N. :)
