Not trying to subvert anything ichiro - just new and coming to the . a little late and finding out how things work. Is it worthwhile to go to a recruitment fair if you're not actually registered? I haven't been to a fair yet - registration is in process - so don't know what it's like - Chance to make contacts just by hanging around?? I'm on my way to Jerusalem and was thinking of stopping by London from Miami. thanks - dglo

Radishflower - Yeah, I'm doing the some of the same - trying to start with an international school. I thought the IB was important too but Heyteach and everyone else know more than I do.

Anyone know if the London fair this weekend is geared more for IB experienced people?? thanks

Thanks Londonchick - pretty much what I thought. Didn't get into the process of registering early enough and the London fair looks good - lots of schools. A lot of these look like top tier schools. You seem to know what you're talking about - If I'm masters level, 17 years teaching but don't have a credential or IB experience, would these schools even consider me? Seems like the recruitment fairs are the way to go, but I like your suggestion of contacting the schools directly too - thanks.

Londonchick and others - you seem to have some good experience from what I'm reading. What are the chances of grabbing an impromptu interview if you're not actually registered for the fair? Any chance of getting some networking done with recruiters at the fair? I probably won't be registered for a fair until the next - Chicago. Just wondering but any advice would be appreciated.
