Re: The path to get QTS after iPGCE

Take a look into the Assessment Only route to QTS, but bear in mind that I think you might have to pay for the costs of having an assessor visit you:

Re: How long do you stay at your 'dream school'?

I'm at my 'dream school'. I imagine I'll be here for the foreseeable future (or until something major happens that pisses me off too much). Ultimately it comes down to what you're looking for as a teacher vs what the school can offer. Both of those can change over time, so if one (or both) of those ...

Re: IPGCE for an experienced teacher?

An iPGCE/PGCEi is not a licence, just an academic course that equates to roughly 1/3 of a masters. Teach-Now results in an actual credential. A US teaching credential is more valuable than a British academic qualification, even if you're British.

Re: University of the People - Master in Education Leadership

Definitely the cheapest M.Ed out there. It's a relatively new program so very few (if any?) people have completed it yet. The UoPeople subreddit seems pretty useful for gauging the quality of instruction - sounds like a mixed bag of reviews, with a few recurring negative themes (lots of inconsistent...

Re: Schools refunding tuition fees

My school is giving a 20% discount for remote learning, but not offering any refunds. Any parents who paid for the year in advance will have their fees credited towards next year.
