Comments: Working at Seoul International School for the past 4 years has been a “journey” of highs and lows. Life in Korea is hectic and frustrating at times, and exciting and fun at others. Crowds, traffic, and pollution can be overwhelming at times…

The staff at Seoul International School is very welcoming and friendly. There are many social opportunities organized by the school’s social committee and the wide variety of teaching staff (singles, couples, families, young and more experienced teachers) means everyone has social opportunities to suit them…

The utilities are not paid by Seoul International School and are very high. Wages do not cover the hardships that are introduced by the living conditions and the out of city location. The small apartments are noisy, have hot water problems, not insulated and without Air Con. Groceries are expensive as are nice trousers. $25 per Kg. of beef. Shoes, cars, services are still reasonable…

Korea is an expensive place to live and the salary scale at Seoul International School has tried to stay in pace but we is still in the lower 20% of salaries for schools our size in our Asian location…
