Have heard some truly dreadful things about this school.

Surely they can't all be true?

I worked there. Everything you have read is true. It is a terrible school and treats staff appallingly. Disregard what you have read at your peril! Management are hostile and racist towards expats, teachers are spied on/lied about, facilities are poor, morale is zero, housing is awful. The school has its own curriculum and the kids are local and spoilt (but I found them reasonably ok). Abu Dhabi itself is a decent place but the school is way out on the outskirts. Salaries were paid on time but you can face deductions without good reason and will feel like they own you (an attitude they still have from their slavery days!)
