On my site I have a page each for both my wife's and my CV. I also have download links to .pdf copies. I've also included additional information pertaining to my job and project I've worked on, a short bio of my kids, as well as a Contact form and our email/skype info.

I registered a domain for us ($7.50 per year) and got a cheap hosting plan ($12.95 per year).

I put our URL on my resume that I send to schools, as well as any email I send as well.

We're also working on a YouTube movie to insert into our page as well.

It's an easy way to give someone an interesting and broad understanding of who you are.
I have done almost the same as you. Even our five year old daughter has her own web page. I also have a class website and blog. All this is posted at the top of my resume.
