In regards to SAS, I noticed on the UNI Vacancy List that they specified "local hire" for their elementary classroom teaching positions.

Does SAS not hire foreign staff for their elementary schools? Or have they already met their "mandated-quota" for foreign staff, and decided that these positions can be filled locally?

I would email Tracy Godon (the UNI Fair Coordinator), explain your situation and see if she has any recommendations about child care.
Perhaps she has assisted people in this way before, and can give you some options!

Does anyone have any idea why there are so many vacancies for the 08-09 school year?
Its obviously a red flag to me, but I thought that this was a well respected school, with a good international reputation?!

I too am attending the 2008 UNI Fair. I have attended once (2006) at was very impressed with the overall organization of the fair, and the schools attending the fair.
