I was looking at that for a while too and the closest I found was ib schools that offer a program called design technology. It is an MYP (middle school) course, I believe. Could he teach math too? Good luck.

That is between the school and search, I think. ISMoshi, for example, says right on their site that while they use various search agencies, if someone applies directly to them through their website instructions that they won't be paying placement fees. I can't imagine how it would fall on you unless you and a school met at a fair and agreed to a contract and hen tried to hide it from Search...

Thanks Danda. We have an interview soon and I guess I will have specific questions after that. I think I have read all your previous posts and they have been very helpful.

Just to clarify, our priority is safety as we have three little kids. By safety, I mean everything like bad pollution, violent crime, lack of access to good emergency care, etc. We aren't looking for any confidential info on staff or anything, just some on the ground opinions of what life is currently like at the various locations so we can better prioritize our preference list. Thanks.

Qsi advice

We are in conversation with them. Anyone care to share their knowledge on or off the board about specific locations? And by knowledge, we really want to hear from you if you or someone you know has worked there. Thanks in advance.

Just a thought. My husband and I are different nationalities. We got married twice, for the reason that you just stated; that you want to do things the way you want them. The authorities don't care if you had flowers or even guests. It cost us two hours and fifty bucks to get legally hitched and we had the big shindig another time, the way we wanted it, at our leisure and just signed the vows instead of a marriage license.

From what I just read on an aramcon blog, women can't drive, but you could get a nice car and someone else could drive it!

Have you tried the UNI fair? It may be what we end up doing. We also have three kids and we spoke to a UNI rep and she said that it would be harder but not impossible to find a school. There is a lot of overlap in the schools list between their fair and Cambridge...

Cambridge is full

So now what? Pay twice to go to UNI? Use the database and hope for the best and ask for an invite to Vancouver or San Francisco just in case? Any suggestions?

I realize that, heyteach, I was just looking for some helpful advice on what to expect as a timeline as this is new territory for us and we are anxious to start looking. We are in a remote location with bad Internet service, so having access to a database would really speed up the process.

I agree with heyteach on trying to resolve things with the admin first, but I am not sure how it is "juvenile", if in fact it turns out that this admin did what she suspects, to inform colleagues of what happened in the hopes of having them avoid being in a similar situation.

Search question

How long did it take for your associate to ask for payment/ activate your profile after you finished your application. I have everything done, including references and it has been a few days... Starting to feel like the associate is not really going to be any kind of advocate for me.

Actually, it says in their instructions that they will not tell you if a reference is bad or good and that you should make sure to ask people you know will give you a good one for just that reason. Your scenario is really awful, though, because it sounds like you were sure he would give you a good one. I think you may be able to remove and replace it yourself, though, and I would certainly tell my colleagues that he did that so they don't get burned too.

It may also be more difficult for schools to get your partner a visa. Two of my siblings are married to non-westerners and theyhavehad difficulty going to certain countries.
Best of luck!
